Kamra-e-faoree from Afghanistan

as i was reading my daily dose of bloggin's i came across the travel photographer's post about The Afghan Camera Box Project (thanks for sharing) and it right away blew my mind! it's the simplicity of capturing a moment for eternity that made me fall in love with photography and the Afghan Box Camera Project represents simply that to me.
perhaps i should go back to basics and produce instant identity portraits in 2012!

online exhibition² for the transplant project

curateNYCDeep Tanks Studio Exhibition Guest Curator James Estrin's Exhibition

We celebrated two year away from us yesterday and today I have gotten good news from curateNYC about one of the images from the transplant project. It has been selected by the deep tanks studio for their online exhibition and pick out by the guest curator James Estrin, Senior Staff Photographer for the New York Times & Lens Blog Co-Editor from more than 1500 entries. Not to forget is our second time to shine with the folks at the New York Times, in July 2010 there was a story about us and they ran the same image in the NY section. Maybe I should listen to the voice inside and get this project into more galleries after all stem cell transplants are becoming the norm in treatment of blood cancers.

two years have gone by ...

back then by anitam.com
time flies, times heals, time we can never get back. and so have passed TWO years since you found your final rest. you are now free of pain and not knowing if there is a tomorrow. i am grateful for the journey and chance of standing by your side, as we once said until death us part. and always remember you have a home in my heart.

let's remember the good times we shared and all the laughs that still echoing around ... i believe that images allow us to revisit a moment and relive it and therefore i am inviting you to go back in time one more time. please visit the Tracy Eley Memorial gallery by clicking on the image above and/or leave a memory/comment below to show your respect not only for his battle with leukemia but also celebrate his life. and if you haven't done it yet check out his transplant story as we decided to document his fight against leukemia.

maybe his life was cut short but forever he will live on in our hearts.

RIP MyLove
